Automotive Grade Urea used to manufacture AdBlue is produced from natural gas. The current conflict with Ukraine/Russia and subsequent sanctions imposed, have caused the price of natural gas to soar and has again reached a record high.European Urea manufacturers have already started to take the decision to implement either plant shutdowns or reduce production because the cost of production is too high. This in turn has led to the cost of urea and therefore AdBlue once again rising in price.

A to Z of AdBlue® – Z is for Zero Emissions

Z is for Zero Emissions.

Over the last year we’ve tried to give you as much information as possible regarding the science behind AdBlue®, info on average AdBlue® usage and how you can save money on AdBlue® by buying in bulk (from us). It’s still surprising to hear that many people who buy a new diesel car still don’t know anything about AdBlue®, that is until they see the little light flash up on the dashboard saying it’s time to refill!

Perhaps ironically or fittingly the Z in our A To Z stands for ‘Zero Emissions’ and while  AdBlue® continues to be used in many cars trucks and agricultural vehicles over the next 10 years we are going to see a huge rise in Electric Vehicles on the road.On our other website www.jerrycans.co.uk/electric we are already supplying businesses and individuals with electric vehicle charging points and accessories. We’re also helping them with information on applying for the OLEV grant. This is a UK Government run scheme that allows you to apply for a rebate on the cost of installing an Electric charging point at your home or business.
