D is for Diesel Exhaust Fluid or DEF for short, this is the name commonly associated with Adblue in many countries including the USA. The liquid itself is actually made from a mixture of synthetic urea solution (32.5%) and 67.5% deionised water.
Although the elements that make AdBlue are fairly straightforward, there are a lot of variations when it comes to the quality of the AdBlue liquid available to purchase in the UK.
We’re finding our most popular order is for a 1000 litre Adblue IBC, this is the ideal solution for commercial businesses who have perhaps two or three trucks on the road and they want to be keep them topped-up regularly hassle free.
We don’t charge a deposit fee for any of our 1000 litre AdBlue IBC’s, as long as you don’t damage any of the seals we can either pick it up once you are finished with it, or simply replace it with a new one full of AdBlue.
For first time customers we also recommend purchasing some kind of pump, many go with a IBC Gravity Feed Kit, this allows you (as long as it is raised up) to easily dispense AdBlue directly from the IBC.
If you're thinking of purchasing a1000 litre AdBlue IBC make sure you have a quick glance at our delivery guidelines, it’s all pretty straightforward, the important point is removing the IBC from the delivery truck, so you’ll need to have (or borrow) a forklift truck.
